Trellis Occupational Therapy is committed to providing thoughtful, individualized pediatric occupational therapy while also being transparent about the payment process.

Payment Overview

Trellis OT is a private-pay practice. Families are responsible for payment at the time of service.

Depending on your insurance plan, you may be able to submit documentation for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Reimbursement is not guaranteed and depends on your individual insurance benefits.

Families are encouraged to contact their insurance provider directly to ask about out-of-network occupational therapy benefits.

Superbills

Upon request, Trellis OT can provide a superbill that families may submit to their insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement.

A superbill may include service dates, diagnosis codes when applicable, procedure codes, provider information, and payment documentation.

Sliding Scale

Trellis OT recognizes that therapy is an important investment for families. A limited sliding scale may be available based on availability and family need.

Because every family’s situation is different, payment options can be discussed during the intake process.

Fees vary depending on the type of service provided, including evaluations, therapy sessions, consultations, teletherapy, and workshops. Trellis OT will review fees and payment options before services begin so families understand the cost of care.

Evaluation Fee Positioning

Comprehensive evaluations require significant time, clinical expertise, assessment, interpretation, and detailed report writing. Trellis OT evaluations are designed to provide families with a thorough understanding of their child’s strengths, needs, and recommended supports.

If your child has completed an occupational therapy evaluation with another provider within the past 12 months, Trellis OT may be able to review the existing evaluation and begin treatment without requiring a new full evaluation.

Education Student Accounts

Education Student Accounts (ESA+) scholarship funds help North Carolina families pay for education and services for children with disabilities. North Carolina families can use ESA+ scholarship funds to pay for certain qualifying education expenses, such as educational therapy, tutoring and supplemental teaching services, and transportation to and from an educational activity, subject to review and approval by SEAA. Trellis Occupational Therapy, PLLC is an enrolled provider for the ESA+ scholarship and is approved to accept ESA+ scholarship funds. Please be aware that not all services offered may meet the criteria for qualifying education expenses under the ESA+ scholarship.
